Look at all of these bright, shining new faces! There’s even a few less bright, less shining faces - maybe even a few folks without faces - but hey, this city welcomes all types. Chances are, if you’ve just arrived, you're seeing some pretty crazy things, unless you're used to an eye-blinding amount of neon, robots, weird-ass technology, magic, and an omnipresent police force...and hey, if you are, congrats, you're gonna settle in juuuuust fine. But for the rest of you, the Head knows this has gotta be pretty overwhelming, right?

Hello, new citizens of Dualis,
and welcome to your monthly Network Adjacency Protocol~!

NAPs are a monthly community networking event similar to the Earth concept of speed dating! Two citizens (new arrivals and old hands alike) are placed at a table together with a handy cue card of queries to help break the proverbial ice. Ask queries and receive results, or ignore the card and yeet yourself straight into a brand new friendship! But don't be too shy, you've only got ten minutes together, and if you just sit in silence for the whole ten, the Network Admins are likely to come supervise and try to repair the uplink through a mild shock to the ol' central nervous system. You might find yourself saying all sorts of unintended facts about yourself if that happens...probably better to just make friends, right? Who doesn’t like friends?!

The weather outside may be taking a turn toward chilly, but you can still get your swim on during this month’s NAPs, held at the Dualis Oasis, an indoor temperature-controlled aquatic amusement park with giant slides, swimming pools, and lazy winding float rivers. Appropriate swimming gear is required for entry to this part of the park, but there are a number of shops just outside that will gladly sell you swimwear and accessories.

For those of you who wish to avoid a humid environment or just hate fun, a dehumidified lounge and restaurant offer quieter, dryer spaces for chatting and snacking. The actual speed-friending itself is in progress here, but you’re welcome to stick around and continue conversations with your new friends.

So c’mon, what are you waiting for? Just dive right in for fun and friendship - the water’s fine, fine, fine, just like everything else in this fair city. But hey, remember to play safe. No running!

Jack had arrived the evening before the naps, but never bothered going to his assigned room. Something about the changes in him made him desperately need a burger, a beer and somewhere quiet to cry. He hadn't seen who his roommate was or he would have gone on to the room. He knew, if she knew him anyway, that Felicity would have had grand hugs.

As it was when morning came he still wasn't tired, that nephilim nature of his had its perks. Sadly, his job hunt offered him two options, cashier, or produce stalker. Of course anytime he changed his name from Jack Kline to Jack Smith, or James Hetfield, it always changed back to his real name. Man, Dean wouldn't like that... but last he knew his father figure didn't know him anymore and he was sure he deserved that after what he did.

It hurt so much more with his feelings back in place.

It was around 9pm when the door wooshed open, as the boy from down the hall now made his way inside, he still had the backwards cap on from the ice cream shop he had worked at in the City holding his blond hair out of his face, a flannel shirt tied around his waist with a leather jacket on and a simple black shirt on with black jeans and boots. The stubble he had started to grow out in the city was still there. Holding a bag from the store probably with to much candy and junkfood he made his way inside.

"Hello." He spoke in that awkward way he so often does, going a little stiff as he looked around wondering if the roommate was home and if this would be awkward.

Felicity had opened the door, but she hadn't looked up until she was inside the room, door safely closed and locked behind her. She leaned against the door, her eyes closed when she heard his voice.

"Great now I am fracking hallucinating people that I've only known for a little while," She looked at Jack now, her eyes sad and her heart heavy.

"You look awesome for being a figment of my imagination."

He couldn't help a light chuckle at that. "No, I think you'd think of someone you know better, Felicity. But, Im excited to see you here just the same! It's really me. I'd offer answers to prove myself but I think the best thing I can do is show you something I didn't before."

Sure, he had flashed his eyes when he showed her he was Lucifer's child before she calmed him down, but this time when the flashed yellow, the wings of light shined as well, almost filling the room for a second before they had to vanish. "...Not enough room in here for that... good to know." He talked more to himself, before stepping forward and opening his arms. "But, yes! It is great to see you here to! It looks like were roommates!"

Felicity hmphed a quiet but definite snort. "Not likely. At least not back home," Her eyes focusing on the man in front of her. The focus quickly turned into awe as she watched the scene in front of her.

"Is that what... in the city. Why you ran?" Felicity shook her head. "OMG, I missed the frack out of you, Jack," She exclaimed as she all but threw herself at Jack.

His smile widened when she threw herself at him, his arms coming around her to spin them both, the way he might have with auntie Rowena or Mary, if either ever would allow it, most of the women he was around weren't so touchy, but Jack loved hugs they were grounding.

The young man smiled at her, "I missed you two, even if its only been a few hours for me. I left to go talk to some guys about that soul problem then ended up here after they fixed me." His eyes had light they didn't before, and he couldn't help but be utterly overjoyed.

"Im so glad your here, I didn't want to be me alone again."
