and welcome to your monthly Network Adjacency Protocol~!

NAPs are a monthly community networking event similar to the Earth concept of speed dating! Two citizens (new arrivals and old hands alike) are placed at a table together with a handy cue card of queries to help break the proverbial ice. Ask queries and receive results, or ignore the card and yeet yourself straight into a brand new friendship! But don't be too shy, you've only got ten minutes together, and if you just sit in silence for the whole ten, the Network Admins are likely to come supervise and try to repair the uplink through a mild shock to the ol' central nervous system. You might find yourself saying all sorts of unintended facts about yourself if that happens...probably better to just make friends, right? Who doesn’t like friends?!

This month’s event is held at a new, super-comfy all-ages establishment called Fort Pillowtown. As the name suggests, it’s a large indoor space filled wall to wall with permanent pillowforts. There are a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors, with each individual fort constructed of gauzy hanging sheets, strings of soft lights, warm blankets, plush toys, a mini television with on-screen menu for choosing movies to watch and video games to play, and yes, lots and lots of pillows. Snacks and drinks of all sorts are available for purchase, as are whimsical onesies and comfy slippers to wear. Board and card game sets are also available to borrow or buy. Sounds like a dream, right?

So pull up a pillow pile, get to know your new neighbors, and enjoy a well-earned and comfy chill-out session. And hey, if you end up napping at NAPs, rest assured that it’s absolutely allowed.

[It's better than staying inside and her brother has a lot of room to grow, which he won't be able to do if he remains glued to her side all the time.]

[Thing was, Nida wasn't even fully sure of what her powers were, so he definitely was intrigued by this.]

That's a good thing, right? Provided they are using those for good.

[Wanda doesn't know if she's showed Nida the full extend of her powers but they mirrored Billy's in many ways.]

He is. So it is a good thing.

Then we do the best we can with that good thing. Who knows, maybe together the two of you can save us all?

[Wanda chuckles softly.]

Maybe but I doubt it.

You should stop by more often Nida. I miss seeing you.

[And she wants to make sure that he's okay.]

[Oh boy, there goes the fake smile, replaced by a frown.]

It's... been hard motivating myself out of my room beyond my two jobs. I didn't... it's hard to come back I guess. I'm trying. This is me actively trying.

[She hadn't known exactly but she'd guessed. If not for Pietro, she'd be in the same situation as him.]

I'd like my smiles to be real again. He'd want that of me. He'd want that of us both.

[Because that's the man Billy was, and Nida wanted to be worthy of the man he loved. So he had to keep pushing forward. Pushing as hard as he could.]

I'm teaching an android to rock climb, so that's fun. The guy has a robot dog, so I can get to experience all the joys of a puppy with none of the allergies. Also a bonus.

I hadn't realized there was an android here. [She pauses and then adds.] One that isn't trying to kill us.

His name is Connor. There was a version of him back in the Village, after you left I think. He became a friend of Stark's. I only saw him now and then. And he had an evil twin or something. But this one? He's a good guy.

[In fact, Nida's smiling warmly at the thought.]

He's been trying to help me through my depression. What a good guy, you know? But hey, you can join us for that if you want, or anything else. Ever consider learning to fight? I'm sort of... down a training partner.

He sounds... interesting.

[Wanda smiles and tries her best not to laugh.]

I'm glad that he's there for you. I'd be happy to join you or train. I train when I can though I've been losing partners too. I learned some fighting in the village that doesn't rely on my powers but not too much. [She'd learned some hand to hand skills from Nat and archery from Clint.]

I work with staffs. I was teaching him before he left.

[Because Billy hadn't wanted to be a 'damsel in distress' without his powers. Which Nida had respected, so deeply.]

If you want hand to hand, you should try Jason. Other than that, I don't have many people I can specifically advise you on.

If you don't mind starting at the beginning, I could learn staffs.

[Wanda would appreciate any and all fighting skills.]

I don't mind starting at the beginning. We'll set up a time for that soon. The important thing is to make sure to wear comfortable clothes. I'll see about finding a good place to practice, okay?

[Because he wants them to not get in trouble and working on the roof at this time of year seems stupid.]
