Three Final Fantasy characters walk into a bar
WHO: Squall, Seifer, Cloud, ??
WHAT: Trying out weapons
WHERE: Workshop outside the city
WHEN: Sep 3
WARNINGS: Fight! Potentially blood and injury
Holding a gunblade in his hand again, even if it's just blade without the gun, is exhilarating. Doesn't matter what else Squall doubts about his own future, he won't give this up anytime soon. Plus, it's great stress relief from the hellish invasion of memories just weeks ago.
There's a lot of things making this fun. One, he's never fought alongside Seifer before. Two, Cloud is... remarkably powerful, way beyond what his stature and figure would indicate. Three, the prototype gunblade is a great teaser to what Seifer is going to eventually make.
He falls back to stay out of range of Cloud's buster sword (how is he even wielding that so easily?), eyes flicking over to Seifer to see what he's doing. It's strange having to flip his thoughts from how to counter Seifer's attacks to how to complement it, but all those years of fighting each other is working in their favor now.
He runs in to swipe at an opening from the other side. He's precision and skill even without the trigger component. It's clear he's treating the sparring session like a real battle. Seifer's taught him that much.

[Seifer's request is certainly adhered to, his eyebrows raising as he finds his jumper pulled in Squall's gloved hand.
And as for the dress, he'd never know. But it was soft. And it shimmered. And yes, he's going to colour slightly at that comment. Because what the hell?]...Thanks.
[He moves his eyes away from Squall, looking to Seifer.]
Let me know if the kit's not enough. I've got some restorative magic to stop the bleeding if it's as old as everything else in here.
[And he's just going to move Squall's head from side to side, carefully, in his hands, still looking for bleeding. He was tough, all right. It didn't look like there was any...]

At least now he has a belt to help hold on his makeshift bandage so he doesn't have to try to do it. "We've got some help on the way," He informs, looking down at Squall in increasing concern. The blurted statement earns a huffed laugh. "Yeah, yeah he did," Should they be admitting this? Poor Cloud. "How hard did you rattle his brain?" He asks, glancing between the two.
He gestures dismissively. "I'll be alright, save your Cures for somethin' more severe than this." Someone will come stitch him up then he'll be perfectly fine. Until then he's content to bleed a while. For now he lingered, watching Cloud look over Squall for signs of worse injury. Not hovering too close, didn't want to crowd them, he just also didn't want to leave. He won't admit it but he's worried. Squall's never frozen up like that before.

He's trying to look at Seifer again, simultaneously pleased and upset to see him. He frowns and reaches for him with a hand.
"You're too far away," he demands almost childishly. He'll feel better if he can touch him, he thinks. People who are alive are warm. Though if he keeps bleeding out, he won't be. The worrying thought makes him knit his brows more. "You should take the cure."

[He'd definitely felt it, as it'd bounced of Squall's skull, that's for sure. A few more turns happen as Squall swats at his arms, then he finally releases him- leaning back on his knees. Or at least, as far as he can with his arm there. When Seifer's included in that, he shifts as far as he can to the side- sighing slightly and looking away.]
Probably best we move him onto his side, in case he pukes.
[A glance to Squall. That was what head injuries were like, right? Sickness, dizziness, and lethargy. ...Of course, he picked that rudimentary knowledge up from being a cadet, but hell if he knew where he'd got it from. It was just there.]
You feel sick? Or tired? You should try and stay awake until who someone knows what they're doing gets here.

He'll tend his injury there, then, if it'll make Squall calm down. "I'll be fine." He insists. Truth be told... he doesn't really want magic cast on him. It bothers him. A lot. Frankly he's a little freaked out by magic anymore. It's pretty embarrassing to admit.
"He's right, you might wanna lay down. Don't puke on me." Seifer wouldn't be very amused if that happened.

He eyes Seifer as he sits and slowly tries to turn on his side with his head still on Cloud's lap. It's slow and nauseating and he looks perturbed by it, but with some help he'll get there, turned away from Cloud because not puking on any of them would be nice.
"Not gonna puke." He grumbles with a sigh. "I feel sick, dizzy. Nausea. But I'm not gonna puke." The last part is added rather stubbornly. Don't mind him. "I just need to lie down for a while." He flicks his eyes towards Seifer cautiously, concerned. "Did the bleeding stop?"
