children, wake up; hold your mistake up
WHO: All new and remaining Dualizens
WHAT: A mysterious return! And the start of Act II.
WHERE: Begin at the dorms, move on to wherever else in the city you want.
WHEN: Right meow c:
WARNINGS: Please use these in thread headers if applicable!
Maybe it’s a stream of sunlight that invites you back to consciousness. Maybe it’s a sound - a slammed door, your roommate’s snores, panicked shouts in the hallway. Whatever it is that wakes you, you find yourself in a plain bed inside a plain room, groggy and disoriented.
Maybe this room is a familiar sight, or maybe it’s a place where you’ve never found yourself before. Whether you’re new to town or an old hand at navigating the neon-lit streets of the city outside the dorm room window, one thing is for certain - you are one of only a very few people still populating this city, and not much about Dualis is as you last remember it.
Time to wake up and start looking for answers.

[There's no shame at all in her answer; in fact, she looks faintly amused as she shrugs off her own jacket, tossing it on the bed while she tries on this one. It's not a terrible fit, all things considered.]
What do you think? Can I pull it off?

I think if you like it, you should wear it. [ Wow, so helpful, Sharon! ] And it's not like there's a ton of people to judge you here if you couldn't pull it off, anyway.

[She isn't going to deny that's what she was doing outright. Not that she's saying they're definitely not coming back, either, but one can make certain safe assumptions, all things considered.
Either way, she isn't offended by the pointed remark. Instead, she turns a little in the jacket, as if modeling, flexing her elbows and shoulders to see how much freedom of movement she has. Important things, you know.]
You're right. Still, there's probably someone who would, and I do like to dress to impress.
[Not that aesthetics are her primary concern, but when you spend your entire life learning just how to use appearances to your advantage, it becomes a habit that's hard to break.]
So what about you? If you're here for the mail, there's a stack on the kitchen counter.
[She may have already been through that.]

It looks good, so... [ A shrug as her attention returns to the room, checking out the nightstands. She pulls one drawer open and rifles through the knickknacks. ]
I'm guessing there wasn't anything good in the mail if it's still on the counter?
