WHO: Sam Winchester | OTA
WHAT: Exploring and Working
WHERE: All Around the Place
WHEN: Throughout Febuary
WARNINGS: Not really any needed
Jogging Around Town:
Sam enjoyed jogging around new places. It gave him time to thing, to learn the in's and out's of his new home and to meet people as he strengthened his body. It was still weird to sometimes glance over and see robots watching him, but he was slowly getting used to it. And honestly it wasn't any weirder then hunting a ghost or chasing down a relic from thousands of years ago. With a sigh Sam slowed down and then stopped as he reached for the bottle of water clipped to his belt and sipped at it as he looked around.
At Work:
Sam tapped at his keyboard quickly and quietly. Tech support wasn't the same as hacking into the FBI or something like that, but it was decent work that paid okay. He hummed as he worked, one of Dean's songs, he doesn't remember which one. But he likes the people he works with and it's giving him a small taste of the normal life he has always thought he'd wanted. With a yawn he leaned back and debated going for coffee or water. He really does need a break.

jogging
The owner of the question isn't hard to spot, sitting on a bench back that curves instead of abruptly ending, feet resting on one of the metal arms. A slight upturn of his mouth for the friendly question, and dressed himself like a jogger with his jacket tied around his waist. There's a water bottle sitting on the correct part of the bench and his dualis-issued phone in hand, earphone wires coming out of it, but the buds tucked temporarily into the neckline of his shirt.
Dualis had a habit of twisting the streets and sending you back the way you came. In Tidus's experience anyway.
Re: jogging
Sam considered the question not really having noticed if he'd been turned around or not. But now that he's focused on the thought he's quickly coming to realize that he has been turned around through at least four laps maybe more. He walks over to the other man. "At least four times that I can count," he admits, "I wasn't really thinking about it until now."

"Sounds about right. The only safest place for avoiding that is up by the pier, and it sucks to go through at this time." Not that most of the city wasn't a busy mess, but it worked out better somehow.
"You staying at the dorm, or in the city?"
no subject
"In the city," Sam says taking another sip of water and then extends his hand with a smile. "Sam Winchester I don't think we've met yet. Have you been here one?"
no subject
"Tidus. I've been here about, hmm... four months now I think." A small scoff as he adds, "Feels like forever, really."
Might as well have been.
"How 'bout you?"
no subject
"Couple of months myself," Sam says, "I work in tech support and live with my older brother Dean" Sam's handshake is firm but not too hard. "Not a bad place all things considered."

"City in general," Sam says, "I've lived in worse places trust me. Grew up in hotels."
no subject
"I was travelling before I came here," Tidus shares back. "Well, we were in an airship for a while. We stayed in inns if we were lucky, but there were not enough of them around," he ends with a small laugh. He picks up his water bottle from the bench, balancing his phone on his leg.
no subject
"Airship....really," Sam says, "what was your world like?"
no subject
"Magic, we had that. Monsters? But we called them fiends. Mmm... really great beaches; a lot of people lived close to the sea, but there weren't many villages or towns or that. Oh-- small." That deserves a finger poking out, making four so far. "They had a big problem going on, so there wasn't anywhere like this place around. Actually, they didn't use a lot of machines. Was considered bad."
Which may conflict with the airship part, but Tidus nods to Sam, lifting his bottle close to his mouth.
"How about your place? You had any of that stuff?"
And he takes a sip of his water with that.
no subject
"Yes to the Monsters no to the tech unless you include cell phones in that," Sam says, "we've got a mess of evil but we've got people to fight it like my brother and me and our family Jack and Cas."
no subject
"There was a group like that back where I'm from too. Called themselves the Crusaders. Never met an entire family in the business though!"
no subject
Sam nods. "Yeah...we call ourselves hunters. There are whole communities of us who fight them. Most fall into it, but my brother and me our mother was a hunter, then our dad became one and so did his dad too. Kind of a legacy thing."
no subject
"Makes sense. I guess some people in the Crusaders might've been like that too." If he got to know them long enough. "It's good work," he nods to Sam with a smile. "Not everyone can protect themselves. But...must be weird going from something like that to here. Only monsters I've seen hang around the swamps."
no subject
Sam chuckles and sips his water. "Not gonna lie man it was nice to be a peace for a while but now I'm just itchy," he admits, "I'm used to running from crisis to crisis that I don't know what normal really feels like."

Sam nodded. "I've spent my whole life ready for the next fight and the BIg Bad," he says, "hell my brother and I just came from a time where we pissed off God himself...that was fun."

Sam chuckles. "Okay it's a long story but on my world God is....well he's real. He likes to "write stories" for his favorite people and my brother and I found out that he was doing that for us...and we kind of took offence to not having Free Will just so God can enjoy his favorite show." Sam shakes his head. "Not the greatest idea we've ever had, but my brother and I had rough lives and to know it was because a cosmic deity thought it was fun...it pissed us off."
no subject
"Wait, so this god guy... He just wrote your life? What, he put you somewhere and made you do things? Like a game show?"
It had to be something more on the lines of that, right?
no subject
"More like one of those comedy/drama show things," Sam replies, "death, jokes, killing friends, more jokes, monsters and a lot of character bashing He also wrote books about my brother and I....that was weird too."
wow i left a few useless words in that last tag, apologies!
"Sounds rough." He pauses again, still trying to find the right response to any of that. "I dunno, I never heard about gods until I came here, but it sounds like something they can do. They're just powerful people who get popular, aren't they? And some jerkass got interested in your family for some reason? You know why?"
Re: wow i left a few useless words in that last tag, apologies!
Sam shakes his head. "He's never be up front about why he likes us so much. Just that that he finds us fun to watch and he likes throwing new situations at us. And when we objected he got pissed off and killed someone we cared about."
no subject
"Just reminds you how different other worlds are. Some guy following me around making my life miserable... you got excitable fans, but nothin' like that."
work
"Not bad, Sammy, but you gotta put more feeling into it," Dean cracked.
Re: work
Sam mentally winces at the song Dean is humming and he balls up a piece of paper to chuck it at his brother's head. "Jerk," he mutters fondly as he gets up and walks over to his brother. "You try telling someone to turn it off and then turn it back on a million times a day and see how bored you get."
