[ Tidus didn't come with them, since he had a few things to do beforehand, but he's there before Squall and Boko's arrival, bouncing an object against the paving that's more likely to draw attention to him before anything else. ]

[ Well, until he calls that.

Should the chocobo's dads know anything about sports, they'll know the ball being bounced is a basketball -- otherwise, it's just an incredibly bouncy ball. More so once Tidus turns to face Boko's direction, slamming the ball beside him and making it go high, goading the bird with another sly call.

And Boko takes the bait, running on other and giving the ball a bop with its beak to send it bouncing elsewhere. Tidus laughs, already turning to go and get it, to wherever it rolls off to.

[A bus? Not for him. Shortly afterward Cloud should arrive, (of course) on the motorcycle that had arrived in Dualis some months ago. He's between jobs, actually- and honestly? Given everything, he'd been eager to keep his head down and pour himself into work as much as he possibly could. This was different, though.

He's not exactly thrilled about Squall's idea to dump Boko in a forest, but it's not his call. The least he can do is be here for it. Regardless, he's off his boke soon enough, locking it up and approaching the pair (and bird), which looking at his phone.

...And yeah, he's brisk.

...Even as the ball bounces past him, and someone vaguely familiar goes after it. ]

We going?

[Squall feels like he should get a car or something at this point. But it's not vital with the public transportation available. And it's a little cheaper to rent a motorcycle... for now.

And it's not dumping, it's setting him loose and then bringing him back!! There's a difference.

What is this dichotomy between his two companions here?]

Yeah... if they don't break anything.

[Squall sighs as he watches Boko try to play keep away with the basketball, bapping it dangerously against the side of a building where a shop window sits pretty. He eyes the ball suspiciously before looking at Cloud.]

Have you met Tidus?

[And instantly gets beaned in the side of his head by the basketball, followed by a triumphant KWEH.

He staggers and doubles over, holding the side of his head.

Ow.]

[ And side by side stand Boko and Tidus. The latter who cringes when he sees that ball hit (those things aren't soft!), then starts to gesture towards the chocobo in a 'he did it!' manner if either of the pair should look over. ]

He's got good aim!

[ In Boko's defence?? ]

Yeah.

[That's all there is to say, isn't there? His gaze moves to Tidus- and it's a wary one. It couldn't be helped, really. The only time they'd talked was when the man asked about Tifa, and to him...

...He's still kind of suspicious. Especially given the fact that he, well, doesn't entirely know that Tifa's spoken to him since. Frequently. Or that she trusts him.

There's nothing more to say. He moves his gaze back to Squall, and...

That sure is a basketball meeting a skull. Boko's satisfied wark is telling, and immediately the bird clomps his way over to Cloud- raising a talon horizontally in a high-five motion.

He's not going to.
He's really not going to.

But a few presses of the talon against his belt and he's forced to exchange a (small) one, just to get Boko to stop. He's big enough now to push him slightly with every attempt to highfive.]

...Let's go.

[He starts to move, with, of course, Boko trotting off after him.]

[Squall has enough sense while cringing to peer past his hand and aching head to eye Tidus for even bringing a basketball (not that it's Tidus's fault he doesn't know). And then Cloud gets a dirtier look for the high five.

Really?

Incredulous judgemental staring at Cloud's back aside, he's giving Tidus another look as he tags along.]

There are smaller balls in the bag. Use those. [Because seriously, ow. He's going to call on some ice over his temple to heal.] And don't bring the basketball along.

[He sighs and starts walking, explaining for Tidus's benefit here.]

He's kind of a GF back home. A summon. He doesn't have any abilities here but he could use his own version of fire, flare, and meteor. [Among others.] To help us when we were fighting. Here he likes to throw things at my head.

[ But. Basketball. :(

Despite the weapon of violence it was made out to be on Squall's head and the compromise of smaller balls, none of that actually means Tidus wants to leave the ball behind. He lags in his indecision to go back for it, but don't worry, he jogs as he does!

...to give it a kicking nudge, making it less visible in case anyone else decides to come out this way.

But okay, he's catching back up! To a -- huh. Surprising explanation. ]

He's like a summon, but...didn't you say something about him following you in forests once? [ A pause. ] Oh yeah, I'm gonna keep playing ball with him. Just so you know.

[ Just so you can be prepared, Squall. But Tidus isn't entirely ready to drop this summon point, or to go for a ball just yet. ]
