Then there were bodies [Open]
WHO: Wanda Maximoff & YOU!
WHAT: Wanda finds a dead body.
WHERE: Random Alley & Cafe.
WHEN: November 11th.
WARNINGS: Blood, mentions of torture and death, etc.
Wanda didn't know what she was expecting but she had promised Hank that she was going to help and she didn't make promises like that lightly. So she walked through the city in her free time and kept her eyes open during her morning run. She heard whispers and rumors of things happening but nothing concrete. Wanda considered using her powers but she preferred to have a place to start before stretching herself thin.
The voice that came to her was a whisper, teasing at the edge of her magical senses, and while she didn't hear anything she recognizes the feeling like a fresh wound in her chest. Someone was calling for help. They were in pain. When she finally found the source of the noise it was too late, the body of a middle aged male lay out on his stomach, a pool of blood expanding on the pavement as he slowly continued to bleed. He was already dead but the culprit was gone.
Wanda secured the area before calling Hank, those she trusted and the people she knew who were working with the police department.
The body had been mangled. She felt the remnants of anger and hate. She tried to keep herself separated from that feeling but she was alone with a body. There was nothing she could do but focus on it until someone else arrived at the scene.
Wanda sat in a coffee shop with her fingers gently digging into her temples. She was accustomed to death but that didn't make finding the dead body any easier. She remembered the feeling of it, the way it had alerted her senses, and sighed.
Her brother was alive but she continued to feel the dull ache in her chest from when he had died. With each death, a little more of her would go missing.
She released her forehead and got out her phone to call Nida and ask him about rock climbing with that robot friend of his. It was a quick text to ask if he was free and then she went back to sipping at her coffee.
Wanda waved to anyone she recognized stepping into the shop but she wasn't planning to get up and greet anyone. She was letting the events of the day before settling in, so that she could reorient her thoughts and get back to work. She wasn't about to help anyone without a clear head and keeping her anger in check was something she struggled with. Luckily, having her brother here helped, even if he wasn't around at the moment.

"That's where you want to start? I promise that we'll do a gentle climb."

She finished her coffee and rose to her feet. "Did you want to get coffee first?" Since that was likely why he came into the coffee shop in the first place.

They're not even too far apart in height, not really, so she might even be able to use some of the hand and toe holds he uses when he's not pushing himself. It will make teaching easier.

It sounded like fun.
"Did you start rock climbing here? With Connor." She was fairly sure that was the name he'd given her.

Wanda followed him to the rock climbing place at a steady pace. She was usually comfortable with silence but today she was looking to fill the void with noise, anything to keep her focus.

What, he's accepting what he was and what he was meant to be. It's what he's useful for, and if some of those skills can help other people here he's good for it.
Though he definitely appreciated the void being filled as he twists the hot cup between his hands.
