WHO: Anyone and everyone

WHAT: South Southing it up, feat. animals!

South is trying to get the hang of her new tattoo and it's powers. After some work and more than a few fuck-ups, she has managed to conjure up her first actual animal! Now, she was told they weren't real animals, something about fae and shapeshifting and nonsense, whatever, it was animal enough for her! And the best part, no feeding or cleaning up shit, just the fun of hanging out with a critter without dealing with the responsibility parts!

She can be found in town with either a goat, jackal, dire wolf, or even a black bear following her around, a grin on her face every time she looks back at her little fur baby. Or out in one of the parks, sitting off in the grass and no doubt making her pants damp as she watches a good sized hawk circle around before it comes to land by her feet. There's even a chance she's sitting out next to a building, a happy hyena prancing around in front of her as she tosses it scraps of meat to catch in it's powerful jaws. She's spending the day out with her newly learned animal summoning magic, only one animal at a time though, having a ball getting used to using the magic and playing with the critters.

Wanda watched her coworker curiously. She didn't think that there was a dress code but it said a lot about South without her saying a word. It was interesting. Wanda respected South's choice, even if it wasn't what she had chosen herself. She didn't want the people here to really know that much about her.

"It's been pretty boring so far." She remarked softly as her misty green eyes continued to scan the area.

"Do you care about who you're guarding?"

Wanda wasn't planning to stop being a bodyguard but that didn't mean she was going to protect someone who was planning to hurt people. Been there, done that.

“Understatement of the year there.” It’s just been endless sitting in offices, sanding around, and trotting along the mayor like an abandoned puppy. Boring doesn’t even scratch the surface of describing it.

The question earns a curious head tilt and a faint noise from the back of her throat. “Care how? Like if I like them as a person, or if I mind who it is in general?”

Either way, she doesn’t have to think hard on it, shoulders rolling in a dismissive shrug, “In general, As long as they’re not fucking over people who don’t deserve it, or aren’t corrupt and shit, I don’t really care. As for this specific job and the mayor personally, I guess I’m indifferent so far. She’s not condescending or an asshole from what I’ve see, seems like she actually cares what happens to this place and all of us here, so, she’s fine. Could just be putting on a good show, don’t know for sure yet, we’ll have to keep our eyes open and see.”

Wanda was fairly confident that the Mayor was putting on a show but she didn't mention it. She didn't trust that they were actually alone here. "I agree." She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back against the wall.

"I suppose the next thing is to ask what sort of skills do you have? We should be able to work efficiently together."

Her powers gave her an edge and while they weren't exactly a secret, she wanted to keep some of her abilities to herself. She didn't like people being uncomfortable around her.

It hasn't been very long, and South's pretty used to weird big shots that act funky. As far as she's seen, it all seems pretty straight forward and the mayor seems alright. She definitely doesn't trust really anyone here so far, but she hasn't ticked any real red-flags yet either.

"I'm a Space Marine back home, in the top of my program. Hand-to-hand, CQC, melee, guns, unarmed; I've trained in it all and perfect most if not all." She replies, somewhat bragging as her ego fluffs up. It's all pretty near true, some on her team back home are better- but they're not here, and she's still pretty sure they're equal with her at best, so...

Wanda nodded her head in answer. She didn't doubt South but the girl seemed very young. She was rash and informal. She might have skill but Wanda wondered if she knew when to use those abilities.

"I can move things with my mind, create shields and explosions." That wasn't all she could do but Wanda decided that it was best to focus on the abilities that were relevant for this job. South wasn't going to see everything else she could do. "I've been fighting for a long time." Since she was ten.

"I worked with an anti-terrorist group before arriving here." And also fought an alien army but that was a really long story.

Honestly, it's a fair assessment. South is implosive, thought it wasn't a question of if she knew when to use her skills, but if she knew when not to. Not every situation calls for fists and rage, she hasn't quite gotten that detail down just yet.

"Wait," She starts, cocking her head slightly in curiosity, "You could do that shit before you got here here, or you pick up some of those magical enhancements around here?"

The important questions, of course. Anti-terrorist groups and such are more or less pretty routine in her opinion, it's all this magic shit she's still new to.
