He seemed a smart man and evidently all she'd said was exactly what he needed to hear in order to get the gist of the situation. His question garnered a sheepish curve of the mouth from her. "I've been intending to look into it while I'm here, yeah." She nodded slowly before she continued, "Without trying to make anyone I know too uncomfortable. There are other people from my home world here with the same apprehension."

People she thought she should have been able to rely on, but felt she couldn't because of the misgivings. At the same time, it would have been unfair to ask it of any of them, considering the circumstances. It was something she was almost certain she'd have to do on her own.

"I guess that means when I've got some time alone I'll be working on it. Hard to know where to begin when I don't know a lot about it. But everyone's got to start somewhere."
