"Ah... it was no problem. I know I was givin' you a hard time." He sighs, shrugging his shoulders with the sound. "I figure they were looking for excuses to go after anybody. Every fuckin' sort of terrorist incident does that. Personally, I don't mind volunteer help so long as they stay out of the way. But when it comes to somethin' like a shooting or a bombing?"

He pauses. Then, gestures ahead of him. "Think about this. Like... when these things happen, if someone is on the scene where they shouldn't be after a violent attack, it turns into 'additional suspect'. There was a shooting once in a fuckin' IHOP in south Michigan. Two other guys were there. Trained guys, with guns. Both ex-military. They took down the shooter. But when the police arrived, they had to detain all three guys, because there was three active shooters as far as onlookers knew."

And he raises his hands helplessly. Still keeping his voice kind of low, glad for the din of sound. "And here it's more strict. This place would be a fuckin' whole lot better if the damn robots weren't makin' the decisions about what to do with suspects."

God he hates that his fuckin' brain is back in that place. He just got around to welcoming androids. Time to finish off half that glass in a gulp.
