Dean walked slowly home from the gathering that the City so kindly provided. Can you note the sarcasm? Man, Sammy would be having a field day if he found out that Dean was talking to himself. Talking was a bit of an overstatement, more like thinking to himself, but the same principle applied.

Dean was dead ass tired and the world could go fuck itself.

He paused at the door, knocking."Is anyone there?"

Dean learned a lot of things from his brother in the last two days. Which led him to stand in front of the room next door. "Come on you can do this, you asshat," Dean muttered to himself. He had seen the blonde bombshell leave earlier so he knew this was his chance.

"Knock Knock," Dean called out.

The door swung open and the very person Dean had just been thinking about was standing there and staring at him. "Dean," Sam asked his voice rough with emotion. After all the last time he'd seen his brother they'd been in the middle of a zombie outbreak thanks to Chuck and Sam hadn't been sure his brother or Cas had survived it when he got here.

"When did you get here...are you okay?"

Jack wouldn't have approved if he heard Dean call her a bombshell but also, he knows Dean, he wouldn't have been suprised.

What suprised him was how fast his heart started thumping when he heard Dean's voice. Remembering being chased through the tower back in the old city... but this Dean sounded more like he remembered. More gravily less young. He moved and cracked open the door, looking Dean over with those eyes of his a second before he opened the door more. "Are you, you, this time?" He asked a little guarded even if it was clear he wanted to hug the man he was a little scared.

Dean didn't answer his brother, he just barges into the room and gloms onto his brother. He closes his eyes and gives thanks to every deity he doesn't believe in, that his brother is here and safe.

"I'm better now. You?" He asks pulling back.

He leaves the other question unanswered for now.

"This time?" Dean asked, his eyes narrowing on the crack in the door. "Come on, are you or aren't you a member of Team Free Will 2.O?" He sounds a little impatient but takes a deep breath because he knows that Jack is just a scared kid; God knows Sammy's drilled it into his head enough times.

Sam hugs back just as tight and hard. "Better too. I didn't know if you and Cass were okay and I was worried sick......last thing I remember was the zombies and then I was surrounded by robots."

"You know me, Sammy, when am I ever not okay?" Dean tried to Joke but it wasn't so funny. Dean knew their life was a shitshow especially now but they were both here and safe. So, he figured that counted for something right?

"Mom's not here is she?" Dean had to ask.

Sam's face fell at the mention of Mary and he shakes his head. "No she's not...but...Jack is Dean." His voice is soft and quiet. "He's not like he was though I promise." "

Dean stiffens slightly and pulls back. "You promise?" He snaps out, harsher than he really meant to.

"Sorry. I just watch Chuckwad blow him away on a whim. How is he?"

That got the smile back to his face, his eyes already misting up. DON'T CRY DON'T CRY!!

"Oh, Dean! Its really you!" He threw himself into Dean, with his leather jacket on and light stubble still not shaved off. He buried his face onto Deans shoulder. "The last world you didn't know me! You tried to hurt me... Its so good to have you back!"

"He's good...settled," Sam says softly, "he missed us a lot....his roommate is really nice." Sam smiles.
